II.7] by Andy Warhol brings a close-up portrait of Elizabeth Taylor with dark, carefully styled hair into the unmistakable visual world of Pop Art. The cinematic eyes, sharply defined lips and strong framing recall the dramatic authority of a classic Hollywood publicity photograph. The subject offers a distinctive way to explore the glamour and scrutiny surrounding a major film star. This poster is designed for contemporary wall display, with the image itself remaining the focal point.

About the Artwork

Andy Warhol repeatedly drew upon existing photographs, advertising graphics and other familiar visual material. His art is often less about inventing a new subject than about changing how a well-known image is presented, circulated and remembered. Unexpected arrangements of familiar details create the graphic immediacy associated with Warhol’s Pop Art.

Composition and colour: A nearly white face, blue-green eye shadow, dark hair and a brilliant coral background sharpen the portrait’s film-star glamour. The subject and design make an expressive addition to a thoughtfully chosen gallery wall, whether displayed alone or with other examples of twentieth-century graphic art.

Why this image matters: The subject is not simply decoration. It offers a way to consider the glamour and scrutiny surrounding a major film star. Warhol’s approach treats images that viewers may already know as material for a fresh visual encounter, where cropping, colour, typography or repetition can reshape their meaning.

Premium Matte Poster Paper

Your poster is produced on smooth, heavyweight uncoated paper with a non-reflective finish.
