About the Artwork

Before the most famous silk-screen portraits, Warhol produced charming cat images, often associated with his affection for cats and the illustrated book 25 Cats Name Sam and One Blue Pussy.

The playful subject reveals a lighter, hand-drawn side of his artistic practice. This horizontal Andy Warhol artwork offers a distinctive interpretation of Warhol’s cats, suitable for viewers interested in the way art, public images and everyday culture influence each other.

Visual Character and Interior Styling

The composition centers on domestic cat illustrations with lively personalities. Its wide layout works particularly well above a sofa, desk, sideboard or other horizontal furniture. The subject can work as a focal point on its own, or as part of a thoughtfully arranged group of artworks.

For a considered display, pair the image with clean architectural lines or complementary printed works. It can be especially effective in children’s reading corners, welcoming homes and playful gallery walls.
